A Letter from Councilwoman Pamela Bensoussan
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Chula Vista HarborFest 2014. This year’s event is better than ever with many new features. These include a Junior Chef Competition, free kayak lessons, and free tours of the bay on the Amphibious Seal bus. Also new are dockside tours of the tall ship “Bill of Rights” and rides on the Maritime Museum’s Vietnam-era Swift Boat.
I invite you to join the festivities as we welcome back vintners from Baja’s celebrated wine country, regional celebrity chefs and local restaurants offering seafood delicacies, an exciting entertainment lineup, and exceptional exhibitors and vendors. Once again we thank our many sponsors including public agencies, corporations, and community members who have donated time, resources and funding to make this event possible.
Chula Vista’s beautiful waterfront is our city’s jewel with rich natural resources, magnificent wildlife and a wide variety of outdoor opportunities waiting to be explored. The Bayshore Bikeway, the Living Coast Discovery Center, yacht marinas, waterfront restaurants, fishing piers, and carefully landscaped parks offer our community an endless scope of amusement.
Welcome to this wonderful Bayside community celebration and we hope to see you back often throughout the year!
